When Jane and I had an IM conversation was both thought was blogworthy, I suggested we flip a coin. She suggested it was continuation of her last post, and my sense of preservation suggested that I just asked her to chase down some invoices for me, so Jane won.

In the course of the conversation, I discovered there is, in fact, a site that lets you flip a coin. There's even one for people in two different places. I love the internet.

Which led to this:
sjerslix: What did geeks like us DO before the internet?
jlowers79: I don't remember. I think I spent a lot of time browsing at The Stars Our Destination
sjerslix: or on the floor in the back of the stacks at used book stores
jlowers79: yup
sjerslix: ....which somehow sounds dirty
jlowers79: OK, only geeks have that fantasy
sjerslix: Probably true
jlowers79: "He ran his finger slowly along the spine of a vintage Dragon Riders of Pern. My face flushed with the heat of multiple suns in a disynchronous orbit."
In the unlikely event that Jane ever loses her publishing gig, I'd say there's a future for her in geek porn.
